What’s Included in the Tow Package?
This is what the $1,300 USD ($1,765 CAD) tow package includes:
A 2″ hitch receiver high-strength steel tow bar with a tow pin,
A 7-pin standard North American connector,
A trailer harness,
Tow Mode software.
The package does not include a ball mount since it will vary depending on the trailer you are pulling.
Towing Capacity and Compatibility
The Model 3’s tow package has a maximum towing capacity of 2,200 lbs (998 kg), making it perfect for light-weight trailers or small cargo carriers . The towing capacity for the Model 3 is less than all of the other Tesla models: Model Y, Model S, and Model X are all rated for 3,500 lbs (1,587 kg) of towing capacity.
